I am an International student who wants to study Aerospace engineering in the future. Luckly, UIUC have that program and enrolled me. For UR and UWM, since they do not offer such program, I choose the mechanical eng instead since I thought they have a lot in common.

Here are my questions.
first of all, I want to know the differences between mechanical eng and aerospace eng. are there many things in common, or say, if it is possible to gain a bachelor degree in ME and get a master degree in AE?

If not, is it easy to transfer from ME to AE in sophomore?

Another question is, what is the average GPA in those three school, which school have higher GPA, as UIUC AE , UWM UR ME.

The third question of mine is, which school provide more activities related to AE or something that can join in.

My last question is, what is the reputation of these school, which one is the best for looking for internship or transfer to a better school like Umich and Cornell.

Finally, which school will you choose if you are looking for a AEprogram like me. To be honset, UIUC biggest disadvantage for me is it is located too far away from cities. Furthermore, some of my friend said to me that UIUC is not so selective and have low quality in education.

Thx
