Hello,
I was going for a Mechanical engineering degree to possibly work in the energy field(building solar panel, electric cars, designing environment and energy efficient gadgets but then I gave up. I gave up after I saw and tried on engineering courses at my sunmer camp. I hated the going into details and the complex differential equations and functions. Anyway, I hated everything about how the teacher was questioning everything and going deeper and deeper. I am now requestioning, should I still go for it?

If you really hated it, then don’t do it. Engineering is all about math, physics, etc… If you don’t enjoy those subjects, you will have a really tough time in school. What else are you interested in/passionate about? That might help you to find other possible degree options.
