How to explain how to explain your predicament to colleges

Hey All!

I had started to write the final drafts of my college admissions essays, when a saddening thought came to mind. My high school doesn't allow students to take many APs, and some students have 16 APs, while I have only 4 (upon graduation) What am I going to !? How do I explain this on the common application? Should it be in one of my essays? I have a lot of ECs and solid leadership positions, will that make up for my predicament. I NEED ADVICE!!

Ask your counselor to address it in the rec letter. Don’t waste your essay space on it.

Thank you thank you thank youuuuu !!!

This should be addressed in the high school’s profile. Ask your counselor if you can see a copy. The profile should describe the grading scale, list what AP and honors courses are offered, describe any limitations on when students can enroll in APs or honors, and much more.

If you’ve taken the hardest courses your school offers, you’ll be fine.

And have pity for the applicants whose schools offer 30 AP classes. If the school lets them, they feel pressured to take 6 or 7 a year!

That is true. Thanks you guys for the help !!!
