The title says it all :D

ha! i think it's called self-motivation.

orrrr. you can consider using a software that can block websites (nothing comes to mind right now). set the password to random stuff so you can't bypass. i'm hoping you're not technical enough a person to use proxies.

yeah good question...who knows. i try not to go online after school, cause then isuddenly realize its like 9:30 and i wasted the whole day.

you can't fight it...just accept it...

i like how you, whiriligigs, only have like 25 posts...i wouldnt' call that addicted, look at who's responding to this thread--outside of myself.

I think once the decision letters come out I'll be able to get unhooked (admittedly my post status isn't as good as many of the people on here, but when you consider I've been on for a month...). This is more of a way to console myself until they do.

definitely, I just recently got hooked, and I think that being in contact with other people who are also dying for April makes me feel better, you know? None of my friends are really trying for selective schools so they just don't understand how grueling a wait it is.

Well, for me, admissions letters = this december, or late march/early april of 2006. I'm so screwed.

well definitely come back and post even after you get accepted. we all need valuable advice from first person from these colleges. So even if you aren't addicted afterwards, come back!

Get rejected EA from a college, with a lot of other people on the board getting accepted. Its enough to make you almost completely stop going to CC.....(Personal Example..)

I went from going to CC everyday to now going like twice a week....and pretty soon, it will be like once a week or once every two weeks...yea, getting rejected suxs, and you don't want to think about this stuff when it happens..(if it happens to you, which I hope it does not)

Turn off your computer and read a book

After a while the initial fun wears off. I still love it- don't get me wrong- but I'm not glued to it as before. Try other websites/forums for a change if you want to get off cc, try www.disboards.com for fun disney forum stuff!

HAHAHAHA!!

Accept it. Offer yourself up to the Gods of CC. Or you can just do your homework during the 60-second breaks.

i know! i can't believe i'm almost at my 100th post....but there are people definitely way more addicted than I am. haha

zante is the queen- more than 4,000 posts so far. The night before Princeton ED decisions she was responding to every single thread on the last 2 pages, every 10 minutes. Since her deferral, tho, she's been less prolific. still...

zante is amazing. she would be my hero if she wasn't afraid of me.

resistance is a waste of energy. cc will suck out your innards until you dessicate into a hollow shell. as for zante, she must average about thirty posts a day or something. i wasn't even aware that enough interesting things bounded to talk about in thirty daily posts.

maybe ask the mods to ban you?

get off the internet
