I heard a guided research with help you a lot for college admission.
But how to find such a chance?
Knowin that i don't even know any single professor at our local colleges.

Some colleges offer summer programs/internships for high schoolers that allow you to conduct research and work with the professors there. Check with some of the colleges in your area. My friend did a research project at one of our local state colleges that isn’t even one of the top colleges in our state, yet she had a great time and learned a lot.

What about if you don’t plan on going into a science related major? I see lots of opportunities for people to research about topics related to biology, chemistry, etc. But what about if you want to go into something business related? Would it be the same thing as doing an internship?

I’m more of a sciency, pre-med person, so I’m not as familiar with business related internships. But from what I understand from other posts on CC, a lot of kids get internships at their local banks or other businesses. Maybe trying searching CC for more information about those kinds of opportunities.
