I’m not in ERC, but they all have 4 floors.

Would you like to switch with me? I was assigned a triple but I wanted a double.
I’m in ERC asia

@samedifference

ERC res halls are 4 floors; the 1st floor is shared with the entire building so that leaves 3 floors to live in. So technically the 1st floor is the 2nd floor of the building and so on.

@diablonecros: well no i didnt call them but I looked here [Moving In and Out](http://warren.ucsd.edu/res-life/moving.html) and thats what it said under changing rooms. Idk if we can, I guess we’ll have to call and find out

@leukybear

Huh? People live on the first floor of the ERC res halls.

@kings
haha thanks for the heads up but i think id rather be living with a roommate cuz thats wat college is all about, like living with someone even tho they might be bad for better or for worse, at least thats what i think lol

I thought nobody lived on the lowest floor which is the floor with the lounge with the stove and whatnot…

^They do. There’s two suites down there.

@diablonecros

You’ll be living in a suite with 9 other guys anyway, but whatever, it’s your choice.

I’m going to orientation on September 17, but my move in time is scheduled for the 19th. I already paid the boarding fee, but do I need to change the date on my housing assignment and pay the extra $50?

If anyone has a double in ERC and is looking for a triple let me know :)

i dont understand why a lot of ppl are on the rage for single dorms… dosnt most ppl want that college experience of dorming with a total stranger? i thought it would be a good way to expand my college life… :P

but thats just me.

^You’ll be living with a bunch of other people in your suite anyway thought.

Exactly. The rooms aren’t set up like traditional dorm rooms so having a single just means more space and probably more privacy should you need it. With a triple it might be harder to get that

why do you need privacy? to jack off?

and im pretty sure that if you bring a girl to your room, your roommates will be more than willing to leave the room to let you do your thing.

although it was annoying sometimes having roommates, it was also an experience i will never forget and you learn a lot about how to compromise and make amends, which you will have to do for the rest of your life. plus, its cheaper. i’d rather pay less money (how much less is it again? like 1600 or something?) and buy myself some nice **** and take the triple rather than a single.

i don’t see any problems with it.

@ spacedog
out of curiosity, what are “traditional dorms” like?

I got a single because I’m a pig and my roommate would probably hate me forever after the year is done. Not because I jack off. :]

Plus, my parents approve of the idea. That way, I have no excuse to not study…hah.

^It’s ok. You don’t need to justify things for happyhappy.

Single rooms = GPA killers for me.

It was a lot easier to convince myself to study when I would see my roommate doing it.

happyhappy, watch the hostility. Nobody said anything about that. I figured I could say “privacy” without getting some juvenile, immature response like that but I guess I thought too highly of some people. Ever heard of just wanting to not be in the same room as someone else all the time?
