My friends at school are telling me that they received an online notification indicating their acceptance status. Any of you know how to do this? I've tried everything.

If a decision has been made, you would have received a email. If a decisions hasn’t been made you are probably in the later waves (which are every Friday). If you still want to check, you can log into MySlice and try out the “Acceptance Form” and see what message it gives you.

Can anyone clarify EXACTLY how students are notified of acceptance decision?

I asked this in another thread, but is it via students’ “MySlice” site, their individual personal e-mail accounts, snail-mail to their homes, or SUmail e-mail accounts? Or some combination?

Do students even have an SUmail account before they are admitted? (If so, we don’t seem to have one, and from what I can tell, SU is supposed to set it up vs us…).

Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!

Simple it is via email that you originally sent with your common app I believe. If there is another notification that supercedes it than I too am on aware of it start checking your inbox from maybe now til 6pm Good Luck to you

My daughter was accepted via email last Friday. She noticed about 4:00 PM. I don’t know what time the email was actually sent. I believe her “My Slice” status was updated at the same time. An acceptance letter came in the mail this past Tuesday. Financial aid information was available later in the day on My Slice, also last Friday. Yesterday, we received a letter in the mail with the scholarship notification. I hope this helps!

Admissions waves are released every Friday for a few weeks( first one was the 15th). Some time between around 3-5 pm students in that wave are sent an e-mail with a link to their admissions letter. At the same time, some things on myslice change. First, students are given a page to accept their admission or deny it. Financial aid may be on myslice at this time also(but not always.) About a week later, students receive their official acceptance letter via snail mail.

how many waves will there be?

From what I’ve heard, it’s usually three waves. So this Friday should be the last one.

hmmm, my D was accepted to Syracuse on 3/15 and the only letter I got in the mail (aside from the official admittance letter) was a letter stating that my child should grant me access to myslice to view financial aid. It didn’t indicate FA amount and I never got FA breakdown info in the mail.

My D comes home today from spring break, I’ll have her grant me access. I need to compare FA with other schools she’s been accepted to.

It was suppose to come in through an email and then eventually you receive the package if accepted.
