Noooo. States invalid pin or password. Oh well. I did not think this would work. I spoke with admissions and they distinctly said that we would receive an e-mail. Patience, patience, patience.

Yet again, read the website, people.

“Log in with your Vassar ID number b**…”

You can’t log in until you get the information.

Just chill, everyone - turn on the music and don’t expect it today. Why torture yourself?

I got the screen with:

“Sorry, the Vassar ID and/or Vassar PIN that you provided was invalid. Please try again.”

You all are beginning to worry me. Do not log in. Wait for an e-mail. Go make a sandwich. Play the guitar. Feed the cat. Do not log in until told to do so. :)

Do not pass go.

@ sailski

Well, I only received one ID and one pin. Why would they assign multiple ids?

@ everyone else complaining that they can’t log in anymore

I’m still able to log in.

And what do you see once you log in?

This:
http://i42.■■■■■■■.com/dmv42r.png

I am actually able to login to the website using my old PIN/password.
Also, I’m pretty sure that I’m accepted, because they list my country under the “with 51 Nations represented, including:” and I’m pretty sure that I’m the only applicant from my country.

If you can’t login, wait until they add your ID/PIN into the database(I couldn’t access the page half an hour ago, so apparently they’re working on it)

Good Luck people!

Btw, anybody has any idea where I can check my financial aid offer from?(I’m an international)

Interesting. Congrats, DIMAM!

I’m only curious why there is only one - well, two now (welcome Undergraduate!) - that can access the site. Shouldn’t there be more acceptance from CC?

I’m wondering if being unable to log in equals a rejection.

sigh

Thank you!

As I said, I wasn’t able to login at first, but now I’m able to.

I bet they’re working on it or so. Since the e-mails are so “near”, makes sense to me…

Did anone actually get a letter who is RD and not international?

Thank you so much for posting about this! I logged in and got the same admitted students screen as “Did I Make A Mistake.” Do we have to wait for the mail to see financial aid information?

I guess so.
It should be a couple of days away.

Where did you find you ID number?

They should have e-mailed it to you.

Dear -----------------------------,

Your application to the Vassar Class of 2014 has been received and entered on our information management system. We appreciate your interest in Vassar and promise that your application will receive careful consideration over the coming weeks.

You can monitor your application status by logging onto
https://secure3.vassar.edu/applicants/ using your **Vassar ID *********** and a Vassar Pin. Follow the instructions at the site to get your Vassar Pin. At this site, you can access a checklist that will show you which parts of your application have been received to date. See the Logon Help page for more detail.

Due to the heavy volume of applications and supporting materials received by our office, it generally takes us a few weeks to enter supporting documents such as transcripts, teacher’s recommendations, test scores, etc. on our system, especially around the January deadline for regular decision applications. Please be patient and check back periodically to monitor your application, but do not worry if some time passes after you have sent in the materials before they appear on your checklist. Again, we are glad that you have applied to Vassar. Best wishes.

Sincerely,
The Vassar College Office of Admission

Did you get this screen before you were able to log in?

Yes. I got that screen.

The one thing that is scaring the bejesus out of me is the possibility that no log-in = rejection, which would make sense, insofar as the website has a ‘congrats2014’ embedded.

GAWD. I’m freaking out.

On the “secure3…” site my S’s id and pw don’t work, but if he goes right to the admitted students website, they do work. Hmm…I wonder if this is a glitch in their system? What are others finding?
