How to get from a 33 to a 35/36?

I got a 33 on my first ACT that I took last month. I’m retaking this month and I’d really like to score as least 2 points higher. My weakest area is science which I got a 30 on (and I got a 33 on both math and reading, 36 on english). I’ve exhausted all the Real ACT Prep resources and I’m currently working through the Manhattan 5lb ACT Prep book. Any tips/suggestions on how I can increase my score?

Stop obsessing about a particular score. You did very well. Better to spend your efforts on the rest of your resume.

There is little to no value in that small of an improvement. Other than a few schools with automatic scholarships that increase above a 33, you gain nothing. Schools look at test scores as a ticket in. A 33 gets over that hurdle at every school in the US. Spend the time you have left getting grades up and get involved in meaningful ECs.

I agree with Torveaux, but I will say that my son’s science score was the one that fluctuated the most wildly. So it is entirely possible that you could nudge up point(s), but you may also go down too.
