How to get instate tuition/ establish residency while attending UCLA.

As all the out of staters know, out of state tuition kills. Im taking out 23k in loans in my own name to pay for school this year alone. Im wondering if there is any loophole in declaring california residency as i cant afford four years here without massive debt. Im looking into having a family friend allow me to use his California home as my permanent address so in 2 years i can gte in state tuition, but I am wondering if this would work. Or are there other more efficient ways of getting in-state tuition/loopholes in the system.

Thanks

I dont know if i found a loophole, but if pass the GED from an accredited California High School, would that allow me to use a nonresident exemption? Please comment if you know anything at al about residency and tuition
