in-state residency

Hey guys. I was just wondering if anybody here knows about establishing residency in California. I read about it and they said they could check randomly for 2 years to ensure you're really there. Do they really check strictly?

anybody? i need help guys!

why exactly do you care? If you are actually a CA resident, you won't have any problems... are you trying to claim residency while not actually being a CA resident?

yeah..by any chance are you trying to pay instate tuition?

Hi guys I'm wondering..
I was born and raised in California until I was 12, and moved to a diff. country until I was 16. I moved back to Cali. for the last 2 yrs. of high school... Does that count as being a resident? When I was filling out my SIR, they kept asking if I was physically present for the last 3 yrs. I was for 2 yrs, not 3.... my parents pay taxes here and stuff.. so I claim to be a resident but after I turned in my SIR I checked on My UCLA on the status and it says my residency status is pending..
