My dream is to be able to get into Brown's PLME program. Do you guys have any tips/tricks as to how to get in? What types of things do I need to do/what things did you guys do to get in?

Thanks so much. Your help is greatly appreciated.

There’s no formula, as I’m sure you know. You first need to be accepted to Brown, so focus your energies there - even acceptance to Brown isn’t an easy task. For PLME, you need to show them that you are passionate about science, but that you have other interests too - unlike many other BA/MD programs, PLME isn’t just about the medicine. It’s also about being an interesting person who will take advantage of the opportunities offered by the program.

Writing a really good essay is one of the biggest things you can do to help your chances.

Yeah as bruno noted, you don’t need a whole lot of medical experience to get in that you would need to for your standard accelerated med program. You want to be rounded, having other non-science talents in addition to some medical-related activities. Also, you want to be the traditional ivy candidate, with leadership, achievements, etc.
