I am taking Spanish 3 this year, and we have a super hard teacher; I don't remember a ton from Spanish 2, especially my tenses. How can I brush up before school??

By reviewing the material from Spanish 2, maybe?

My friend (who received a 5 on the Spanish language AP) said that he watched tv episodes in Spanish. Another good idea would be to read the Spanish versions of English books (for instance, Harry Potter).

watch lots of spanish soap operas.

Puedes hablar conmigo. Soy un dios de espa

Repetition is the key. By constantly practicing conjugations and memorizing your vocabulary, you’ll be better at Spanish.

Also, as stated before, watch TV or commercials in Spanish. Go online and find a Spanish news website that offers videos online. They’ll have short video clips about recent news. At first it will be very hard to understand what they are saying, as they say everything super fast. Again, repetition. The more you view them and pause to make out of what you just heard, the better you will be. It’ll help your speed when speaking Spanish and it will help you understand what others are saying quicker.

Move to Tijuana or Arizona :)

Estoy de acuerdo con lauren.

Thank god I dropped spanish. I suck at it.

The best way to memorize tenses and vocabulary, and to gain fluency is certainly to watch tons of tv shows in spanish, telenovelas, movies, listen to music and read books in spanish.
If you immerse yourself in the language you’ll learn way quicker than if u just try to memorize everything with exercises, flashcards or other “didactic” devices.

If like me you’re not a big fan of telenovelas (afterall they’re all kinda stupid), you have lots of upper level films in spanish. Have you already watched El Secreto De Sus Ojos? Its a veeery good argentinian movie. I believe it won last year’s Oscar for a foreign language film. Another very good argentinian film is El Hijo de La Novia, and of course, you have all of Almod

Thanks! I love Spanish, and I had a teacher that didn’t really fit with my learning style for 2, and I know in 3 we have to speak it the entire class.

Go for it! Speaking many foreign languages is very well regarded worldwide.

And I love spanish too =)
