If ur not having a time issue, i suggest u recheck all ur answers, not just the one question ir between two answers on. Im always super lazy on practice tests so i nevr bothered to check answers. I got around low 2200 s on bb tests. On my test day tho i never put my pencil down - redid every problem i had time to do nd i scored 120 pts higher

"take the test like a boss "

I’m going to make a shirt that says that, and wear it to the test.
Best quote for the SAT’s, of the year.

what us the BB book?

Instead of buying DH, download Anki:

[Anki - friendly, intelligent flashcards](http://ankisrs.net/)

It’s a virtual flashcard program that uses spaced repetition (a better form of memorizing).

After installing it you can download the DH vocab lists from File -> Download -> Shared deck.

Do it once a day every day (unless you’re running out of time).

thanks for the general info DrSteve and all but i am using the following books:

DH 1+2

11 PR tests
BB book
Gruber(best math book ever!such hard problems lmao)
barrons practice test book

thats all i have for now but i plan on buying a nice book about grammar hopefully specifically for the SAT. anyone wanna rec me one? basically if i could learn those rules i could def go up to a 700+ on writing(i can feel it xD). ima follow the essay guide posted somehwere on the writing essay for a 12 also:P(aiming for an 800 in writing and math and lose ‘points’ on reading.

The Blue Blook has all the grammar rules you need. Just check which rules you broke when you missed questions.

Might be a bad question but if I want to work specifically on my critical reading and math sections, would it be better for me to by an entirely new sat book or 2 of those section specific workbooks?
Right now I have the PR book and the bluebook but I feel like they’re still lacking a bit

My daughter got a 185 on her PSAT this year as a sophomore. She plans to “self study” this summer. Hoping to get a good SAT and play soccer at Harvard are Dartmouth. Both school have shown interest at recent showcases

@happydaddy. what would u like me to do for u then? just bragging are u?

I’m currently a sophomore and have been enrolled in an SAT prep course at a local academy since September of last year (2010). The first diagnostic, full length test I took, I got a 1660. Breakdown: (580 M, 540 R, 540 W, 7 Essay). As of this month, my most recent exam I took, I scored a 2160 (780 M, 680 R, 700 W, 10 Essay). To succeed requires a mixture of talent and preparation, i.e. the SATs has similar questions on most of its exams. Memorize vocab words, as I can guarantee that you will not score above a 2300 without knowing your vocabulary!

my best suggestion would be to try and answer more questions correctly :D
