how to improve 2220 SAT score to 2350+?

so ive taken all the blue book tests, some online sats I found, and 2 practice tests from the online course. so the last one I took (practice number 2 online course) I got a 2220: M:780 W: 730 CR: 710. (I have one PSAT left and 8 more real practice tests for CR, 9 tests for writing, and 8 tests for math)

So obviously this is a good score but I want to improve it by December SAT to 2350+ or essentially 2300. Math is good, I usually get them all right or -1, last one I took was an idiotic mistake so im fine with that. My real concern is Writing and reading, writing ive noticed that I have gotten one wrong all the time on improving paragraphs but then I studied up on my errors and practiced some and I got all the improving paragraph questions right on the last sat I took. Im getting comfortable with them. But other than that I, on average, get 4 wrong, how can I get em' all right! I mean whats the best route for writing!! more practice tests or what?

How can I improve critical reading to near 800? I should note this trend, I usually get a vocab question or 2 wrong, on the last one if I had gotten the last vocab question right id be at a 740 for CR, and a PSAT I took last week, I noticed if I had gotten 2 of the vocab questions right it'd be a 75. So it seems vocab is solvable, but I always get the hard questions wrong on the passage (the ones labeled "H") there usually is 4-5 of them, but I end getting a decent amount wrong. How can I improve critical reading in general? Im starting to now read critically for an hour on magazines and stuff (underline, summarize paragraphs point, main idea, try to guess what an SAT writer would ask if this was the passage, etc.), will this help, should I continue to review mistakes?

Any answers are an immense help! Thank you soo much! 2220 is good score, i sound egotistical, but im not, if the skys the limit why not reach it? :)

someone ought to know!!!

Bumppppppp !!

At your score, the key is a lot of practice tests.
And wow, you make me feel bad. My score is 780 math, 600 CR, 740 W. I panic every time I hit the CR sections - I look at the clock every second and I don’t even read the passages most of the time. I don’t know how to work on my time management skills.

I guess that’s the only option for me. Thanks.

I was at your cr score a couple months ago. I improved by doing alot of practice tests, memorizing vocabulary, understanding mistakes, and reading magazines actively. Just keep practicing!

I am scared witless of Math, but CR and W are so easy for me. Honestly, I think someone grading your essay doesn’t want to see how many references and information you can pack into 5 paragraphs or less. I believe they want a peek inside your soul. They don’t want you to quote Martin Luther King (Though he was a great man), they want you to write such that when they finish reading it, they’ll be quoting you afterwards. You shouldn’t be scared of writing at all, because that is the one section of the SATs where anyone can excel, simply by being themselves. OBS! Correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling are important. Hope this helps, btw.

I am in a similar position (although I’m still debating whether or not to retake the SAT). Since everybody took the test today, I kind of felt incompetent for God knows why, and did a CR practice test to see where I’m at. 780 (one raw point away from an 800). I scored 730 on a real test some time ago. IDK how it improved though.

Anyway, what on earth are you using to prep for the SAT? There is no “H” in the blue book. Just 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.

Idk how to do well for math lol. It’s soooo easy, but it’s not when you check the answers. Writing is so unpredictable that I don’t even bother with it.

I’m still a freshman, so I have plenty of time to prepare. An acquaintance is sending me some prep books from the US, and I’m (obviously) looking the SATs up online. I’m stocking up on vocab and reviewing Algebra because I am just horrible at Math. Well, I have an A (97/100) in it, but I just don’t like it, and I make the dumbest mistakes ever; like messing addition and subtraction up. 50-36 = 24. That’s what gave me a 15/20 on a quiz I should’ve aced. I had the formula and the value of X, all I needed was to find the Y… God I’m a ■■■■■■.
Critical Reading is so easy for me, it’s hilarious. I’m a bookworm, and I enjoy reading classics, modern lit, as well as ancient texts like ‘the Tale of Genji’
Writing is easy too… Just Math… My greatest enemy. .
