How to improve from a 25 to 26 composite?

I'm taking the June 8 ACT and I'm looking to go from a 25 to 26. I have barron's, red book, and the princeton ACT books.

I took the one in april and got
M-25
R-28
S-23
E-22
C-25

The only scores that went up from the march test was reading (+6) and math (+2).

As can be seen, the main two subjects i'm struggling with is science and english.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

English is basic grammatical rules and rhetoric. I would just suggest going over basic rules of semantics.

As for Science, Read the passages more quickly so that you have more time to analyze the charts and graphs. Good luck!

Marshall’s advice sounds good for English. For Science, my initial advice is to understand the structure of the section and work the examples with the easier problems first.

Oh, and for Math, many problems are about right triangles. Even if they don’t have right triangles in the diagrams, or it is a word problem, SO MANY problems can be solved on the SAT thanks to our good friend Pythagoras. :)
