How to increase chances of getting in..?

Hello,

I am currently in my first semester of community college at El Camino College. I am looking to transfer to a four year, LMU in particular. I am a business management major and am currently on the right track academically but I am seeking some advice about what else I can do yo increase my chances of being accepted.

I have friend who went to Elco as well. He got an 4.0 and now at UCLA.

It’s relatively simple haha… GPA is most important… keep a 4.0 or 3.9+ … If your highschool record is bad, keep that gpa for 2 years then apply to transfer and you’ll get into ucla and other great schools.

How important are ecs though? I know some schools prefer them more than others. Does anyone know what kind of ecs lmu likes? Is joining a club, doing community service, and having an internship/job sufficient?

It depends for what type of schools. For ivy’s and top tier ec’s are important… you should have ones that show ur passion and have really excelled in. For lower schools ec’s play less and less importance.
