I have heard that GT converts ACT scores to SAT scores, but I can't find the conversion anywhere on my Buzzport account. Does anyone know where I can possibly find their conversion? It would extremely help. Thanks.

[SAT-ACT Conversion chart](http://teachers.sduhsd.k12.ca.us/lccounseling/sat-act_conversion_chart.htm)

not how they do it…and not the answer to my question…bump

See the University System of Georgia handbook appendicies which Gtech uses as a guideline (and the table is essentially the same as the one given above): [Appendices A - C - Academic & Student Affairs Handbook - University System of Georgia](<a href=“Academic & Student Affairs Handbook | Appendices A - C | University System of Georgia”>Academic & Student Affairs Handbook | Appendices A - C | University System of Georgia)

The problem is that those guidelines do not break it down to SAT math to ACT math equivalency or SAT critical reading to English equivalency, which Gtech will do to determine which scores are the highest to be used for admission but Gtech does not publish those equivalency tables, and thus you need to make an educated guess.

Thanks man! Do you or anyone else have a buzzport and know where to find the converted score? All I see is just my raw scores without any conversions, but I heard gt posts individual conversions on buzzport

Probably after they have looked at it completely(2-4weeks?). Unless their computers have a program for it.

Wouldn’t SAT Critical Reading be compared to ACT Reading rather than English on the ACT?

Thanks! I guess I’ll wait.

Aura- it’s weird. For some reason they compare SAT Reading to ACT English.

^All colleges that compare scores do the same, math to math and critical reading to English. That is the way it has always been and started long before there were writing sections. You will even see when colleges report scores that they will often report the math and CR of SAT and math and English of ACT and not other sections. In the common data set that colleges fill out annually and that is used by US News for information for rankings, colleges provide their middle 50% ranges for SAT math, critical reading, and writing, and for ACT math, English and combined English/writing scores, but not ACT reading or science.

You want another interesting conundrum: have you noticed that Gtech, a science and engineering school, completely ignores the science section of the ACT in determining admission?

The science section is basically “can read technical material,” not “has knowledge of science.” My kid’s science score was very similar to her reading score, and very dissimilar to her math score.

Wow, I didn’t know that! But seriously, the science section is just “how well can you interpret data in an allotted amount of time”. Minimal science knowledge is actually needed.
