Why after the window opens? FL aamc is approx 34 and pretty balanced, with high scores being VR, if that makes any difference.

AAMC is notorious for computer crashes, although it’s been a few years since they’ve had one. But still, give them a few days to make sure you don’t get caught in one.

Oh, I do remember reading about the aamc crashing, I will advise her to not push submit for a few days.

There is no reason to wait to submit AMCAS past when it opens. If you are unsure about your school list just hit submit with only one school listed. This “saves your spot in line” for verification. You can then easily add (but not remove) schools at any later date and while you have to click the same buttons to “resubmit” your application, it will not affect how long it takes for you to get verified. In other words, adding schools will not cause you to lose your place in line for verification. If you look at the past years’ AMCAS verification threads on SDN it is clear that the first people to get verified are the people who submit immediately after the application opens.

? The concern isn’t that she’ll need to add or remove schools. The concern is that the system will crash and cause headaches. A few extra days isn’t going to hurt anything.
