How to make ECs stand out on Common App?

Hi,
I am wondering, for the ECs portion on the common app, what about be a good way to show my dedication to certain activities and such?

Since there are only a few spaces, how do I list out the stuff that I am involved with so that it stands out? Should I do it in chronological order or in order of position (ie, founder, president, etc.)?

Please help, thank you very much!

Don't do it terms oforder of position, or chronogical, do it in order which ecs inspire you the most, the order of most significant to you, or the order of interest

How do you make them stand out? Use a highlighter.

haha very funny...
seriously though, how?

Order = Dedication * Interest. Although the latter is rather arbitrary.

right, but how do I make it seem not ordinary? Examples would be greatly welcome.

i read in the Hard Rock Apps (haha) by Cohen, and she said for very talented and involved students, the EC space in the Common App isn't enough. She said to add an extra sheet, describing the activities, positions held and grades participated etc etc...Not because of the number of activities students participated but rather an in depth coverage of each of your activities (a phrase or two, not paragraphs for each)
being a junior, i dont actually know HOW the Common App works as in adding an extra sheet. oh well...

I would send brownies with a picture of each of my ECs on top in vanilla icing.

Mmmmm...gooooooddddd..

write it in blood (shows dedication). Then color the entire app with pencil crayons in the featured color of the school you are applying (shows your love for the college, for instance, color your entire app Orange if you going for Princeton, Harvard red, Yale blue, etc).

Great idea. I'm visiting a blood bank now.

That blood idea was mentioned in the college ranking guide from US News haha.

no, use your own blood.

what if you're using the online app?
