<p>I am looking for a list of questions to give my daughter to help her choose the best school for her. Out of the schools she has been accepted to, it is narrowed down to Ripon College in Ripon, WI (about 1.5 hrs away from us) and Rollins College, near DisneyWorld. (third on list is Rhodes COllege in Memphis...she likes the college but isn't thrilled with Memphis itself) While she is leaning towards a physics/math major, to probably lead to an engineering degree, she really is a true undecided, so one of the criteria has been a college that will be able to help her define herself, which at least on paper these both seem to do.</p>
<p>if anyone has any specifics about either Ripon College or Rollins College I would appreciate it, too!</p>

<p>I don’t have specifics on either college, but I would like to weigh in on the distance issue. My son was accepted at colleges not quite as far away as Disney World, but still a good 6 to 8 hour drive away, and also at a college about 2 hours away. He ultimately decided he wanted to be closer to home so went to the college 2 hours away. He is glad he did. He likes being able to come home occasionally for a weekend to visit friends (not so much his parents…). Two hours away is far enough to feel like you’re going away to college, but not so far as to preclude short visits home. If your daughter goes to Rollins, I imagine she would only be coming home for the long breaks. Maybe that isn’t an issue for her, but it’s one she should at least consider.</p>
