I want to major in business, and I'm looking for a top business school. However, other than that, I have no idea how to choose the school that is best for me. Does anyone have any tips or suggested criteria to look at when choosing a college?

Size (both how spread out campus is and how many students)
Location (state, urban, rural, suburban)
Aid (merit and/or need-based) and Net Cost
Courses available
Opportunities for study abroad and internships (if you’re interested in these)
Campus Events and Traditions (Do you want a school with a lot of pride and tradition or not?)
Greek Life (if interested)
Dorms (some people would die if they had to deal with hall baths, some don’t care)

Once you’ve narrowed it down like that, it’s best to visit if possible. That’s really the only way to determine the feel of campus and if it is somewhere you’d want to be.

You can also look at the USNWR list of business schools. I don’t put a ton of stock in their ranking, but it is a good list of colleges which have undergraduate business majors. Other than that, the criteria listed above are very good. Also it is important to be realistic with where you fit in academically and what you family can afford financially.
