So this fall I am going to be attending UCR/UCI as a psychology major and want to know the best way for me to prepare for law school applications. I've been virtually self guided on undergraduate education and I've made mistakes and taken forever but I'm finally making things happen. I want to know from experience what are some ways I should start preparing for law school applications and what are steps I should start looking into. If it helps I would ideally like to attend UCI/USD for law school but I'm not trying to be picky.

The 2 most important components of the application are GPA and LSAT. Do well in school, preserve your gap. Study for the LSAT, take as many timed practice test as possible.

Your GPA please… maybe, who knows, with a 170+ you can even aim for the T14.

Find the easiest major that you enjoy. Take the easiest classes that you can. Maximize your GPA, while graduating in four years.

And prep for the LSAT as early as sophomore year.

I’m at junior this fall. I forgot to mention that. Thank you everyone for your input!

I would look into a pre law society. It helped me greatly.

^^I’d be willing to bet that two online blogs focused on law schools have a gazillion times more current info than any college advisor/on-campus society.

Yeah, I don’t really see how getting together a bunch of people who haven’t done either law school or law school admissions is going to help prepare for law school.
