I have one semester of College Algebra, and also took a basic statistics course in college. The statistics course was a long time ago and I don't remember much, except the very basics. I feel at a disadvantage for the GRE math questions. I took a practice math test for the GRE and missed half the questions.

What can I do to prepare for the math, or should I enroll in another college math course to refresh my skills?

Buy a study guide for the GRE. I used Princeton Review’s guide, studied for a couple months (about a month each for verbal and quantitative) and got an 800 on the quant. If you’re still having trouble grasping the math concepts in GRE study guides, then maybe consider taking some more math courses.

I don’t really know if a college course would help… I think the prep books would be more useful because you basically just need to know the concepts

I looked at some sample GRE math questions, and they don’t look like the type of math I have studied. They may be trigonometry questions, which I have not taken trig. I guess I should sign up for a class? An internet course would be better for me. I don’t have time to sit in a classroom 3 times a week right now.
