Hi, so this may be a little early but as a senior in high schoolI want to start prepping to get into Harvard Law. I was wondering which college would be recommended I attend undergrad (that I have been accepted to thus far) and what sort of activities and preparation I should start doing.
Accepted into
UT Austin
Texas A&M
TCU
SMU
Deferred:
Georgetown
Still haven’t heard from:
Vanderbilt
Brown
Rhodes College
UNC
Rice
I am very interest in Greek Life but academics and academic clubs all the same. I bought an LSATs prep book I am slowly going through. Any recommendations would be so so helpful!
Doesn’t matter where you go or what you do. Just get A’s – lotsa of them. Of course, “Greek Life” will be a detriment to earning A’s, so good luck with all that, particularly the socializing.
Don’t waster your time with LSAT prep book.
Work for a year after graduation and then study for the LSAT.
bluebayou is correct.
Also, DO NOT focus on getting into a specific law school. That will lead to disappointment. I focused on one school, got in, but then got into others, and so I had a nightmarish decision of turning down what was my dream school. So if you focus on HLS, but then you get into Yale or Stanford and decide that you like them better, it won’t be an easy decision.
So just do your very best and then go with the best law school you get into.
Why settle for HLS? I’m not sure if you know this, but among law schools Yale is actually the consistent #1 and is somewhat apart from all the rest, including Harvard and Stanford.
In all reality, just do well in undergrad and enjoy your time there. Seriously!
