I'm gonna be a junior next year so I will be taking my SAT's pretty soon. Thing is, I took my PSAT's in freshman and sophomore year (and also in 8th grade but that was just because the math teacher recommended us to) and my scores have been pretty mediocre (60's in each section so a total score of around 180). I have been taking an SAT class the past few years though and these days on practice tests, I get around -3 on math and -5 on reading (on each section) and -2ish on the short writing section, -5ish on the long section, and a 4 on the essay (8 if two graders). On the actual SAT's, those scores are around the 600's and maybe 700's at best. It's even worse on test days because I get really nervous. (I have been diagnosed with a few disorders, though, and I've been told that through that I can get extra time). Does anyone have any advice on how to raise my SAT scores? I need to get at least 210 on the PSAT's since that's the requirement at my state for the NMS. On the SAT's, my goal plan is to get an 800 on math and writing, and at least 700 on reading. That means I need practically perfect scores and a perfect essay on math and writing and no more than -4 on reading on ALL sections total. Should I get Barrons to practice for those two tests? (the PSAT one and the 2400 book for the SAT's) And also, would taking ap english language raise my score on reading and writing as well? I've heard some conflicting opinions on how much the class correlates to reading and writing. So please help me?
