How to send/attach/include references beyond high school teachers at Frost and Thornton?

Quick question.
My D is getting stuck figuring out how to do this.
The apps seems to limit you to sending recommendations from high school teachers and counselors.
And even then, seemingly only one of each.

Ideally she’d prefer to use recommendations from her combo leader and personal instructor at MSM Pre-College Jazz program. Not only is their experience with her more relevant from a domain perspective, but they have 2 years of exposure to her playing and growth.

So that’s the question. How does one include those types of references within applications to Frost and Thornton specifically? I assume somebody here must have figured this out previously.

Thanks for any assistance!

My son applied to both but sorry I cannot remember how he submitted recs. I will see if my spouse recalls. But in general, we found the music admissions office of both schools to be very helpful with those type of specific questions.

My kid is applying to frost and his private music teacher is doing one of the main UMiami recommendation letters in the common app. It doesn’t prompt you anywhere else - it is super weird? Maybe they prompt further after your music app is in? My kid’s academic app is in but the music app is not in yet.

Hey guys, if I recall correctly there are a maximum number of reference letters you can submit in the Common App. For Frost and many other music schools, they asked the applicant to use a website called “Slideroom” which should be in the supplemental music app. In Slideroom we uploaded the prescreen videos as well as email addresses for music teacher recommendation letters.

I hope that helps.

I seem to remember they were submitted online as part of the supplement, but that was for BA college programs that didn’t have an audition. For BA applications, these letters from music teachers proved essential to admission by the way. For BM programs the audition is the thing…I don’t remember how they were submitted for conservatories!
