How to strengthen app for UChicago and Duke?

<p>Current junior (I've included classes I will take) </p>

<p>SAT: 2160 (690 M 760 R 710 W) </p>

<p>APs: HuGe (5) Chem, Enviro, Lang, US Hist, Physics B, Calc AB/BC, Lit, Euro, Psych </p>

<p>ECs: Debate (4 years, captain position next year, various awards) NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, 100+ hours volunteering, piano (self teach) </p>

<p>Your ECs are a bit lacking, and you may want to raise that SAT score a bit (at least to all 700s).</p>

<p>You might have a chance at Uchicago if you write excellent essays, and Duke I think is a Reach</p>

<p>GPA is 4.0. Maybe I’ll try out for track in the spring. What ECs look good? Is it bad to do them for one year only? I want to join environmental club, so maybe I’ll add that.</p>
