How to Study for AP Bio?

This might seem like a obvious question but how do you guys study for exams like AP Bio? I’m used to cramming for tests the night before but obviously you can’t do that for AP exams. I need to start studying from my Cliffs book now to be prepared in May. But my long-term memory sucks and I’m pretty sure that if I just read through the book I will forget everything. Do you guys set a plan and then take daily notes from each chapter of the review book? Do you use Quizlet? Do you just do a bunch of practice MCs/FRQs to cover up any holes in your knowledge? How do I fully utilize my review book for the next month?

I personally think that the review books condense all the information from every textbook that teaches around the AP Biology course. I think that if you have taken class notes on all topics up until now, then I believe you should study those and possibly the textbook given AND the Cliff’s Study Guide. But that is my personal opinion.

I read through Princeton review and I thought that was a decent prep book, but I didn’t take any practice tests other than the final that our teacher gave us. That turned out to be a problem because I knew most of the material when I took the exam, but I didn’t finish the free response. I would recommend doing as much practice as possible because it can be difficult to figure out what the questions are asking and the time frame is fairly short. I ended up getting a 4 myself. Good luck!
