I'm in APUSH right now and my teacher gives really specific tests about details, events, people, and trends. Many of the answer choices seems like they were correct to me but only one choice is correct... That's how hard they are.

We have weekly chapter tests that consist of around 40 questions. We have about 5 sections in every chapter so I just read about 1 section a day and finish it before the test day. Then I look over summaries of the text.. However, I still only manage to get about 80% of the questions right. Should I shorten my reading time span and read more in less amount of time or what? I'm a slow reader and I hate having to cram it all in but doing a little a day doesn't seem to help! :[

I think you should try to relate to what you read...you might remember it better.
Likewise...your attitude towards whatever you do, affects how you do it.

I always contemplate about what I read so I'm a very active reader. However, these details are specific so should I try taking notes while I read? Every chapter is only about 40 pages..

Obviously DON'T cheat. Taking notes couldn't hurt because you can figure out what is most important in the chapter. Write down all of the people and dates. Also writing things down may help you remember them better.

I would try and give you advice, but my english teacher did that last year on books and I would get Cs and Ds on the tests so apparently my methods didn't work.
