How to we obtain our AP exam scores?

Okay, I've only take 1 AP exam this year and it is my first. I've seen many people post about calling college board for your scores and that they charge 8 dollars!? Do you need your student pack (I think I lost mine) to get them by phone?

The second way I've heard is by mailing. Do they mail them out the day the scores are available? Do you need to call or notify them to do this? Pay? Thanks.

Scores are mailed without charge and come a couple weeks after scores are first available by phone or else there wouldn't be any incentive to pay $8.

I'm not positive, but you could probably call CB and ask for your AP code/ID/whatever to be looked up if you want to do by phone, but you really don't need to. I'm pretty sure they'll also accept your SSN if you filled that out on the answer sheet.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think my daughter told me if I can't find her AP code in her room (she is gone for 6 weeks) that I can enter her social security # to receive her scores by phone

Not sure there's any need to find out your AP scores early, though. What's the difference?? Why give CollegeBoard even more money??

Sorry, did not see the same info on last thread, I'll go get coffee now!

because we crazy people can't wait for it to come in the mail 3 weeks later.

We live on the west coast, and the scores came by mail just a couple of days after I paid the $8. I am sure I called on iether the first or second day they were available.

i think that was a fluke last year.

in years past they came like 2 weeks later.

Honestly, why does the CB need $8 for an automated voice to say scores? Especially after one paid 80+ to take the exam.

because theyre stupid thats y

i think ill just wait a few weeks lol im in no hurry since i dont really want to know what i got in AP chem

some people, such as moi, need to register for college classes... -_-

You can get it by phone starting July 1 ($8 charge), or u can wait 3 weeks to get it in the mail (free of charge).

I just don't have the patience to wait 3 weeks, so I think I'm gonna call. Besides, I need to find out ASAP so that I can make appropriate adjustments for my college classes...

Usually, they start doing the phone scores BEFORE July 1. You can call early and see if they are up and running, usually 2-4 days before July 1.
