How to write a grant request for a high school club? What do?

<p>I'm starting the FIRST Robotics club to have ever existed...in the history of my high school. 4 good Vex Robotic kits costs 3k+... So, I was wondering how you structure a grant request to a company. I.E., basically a "How to write a grant request" thread.</p>

<p>Bump! I’m also wondering about grants for school clubs. I don’t even know how to find grants that are available, let alone write grant proposals. Any suggestions?</p>
