I am interested in applying to NYU for an undergraduate biochemistry program, since New York is a really diverse place. However, I have absolutely no idea about how to go about doing research to find out why I would like to go to NYU specifically. I can’t find much information on the website or anywhere else.
How can I do adequate research to write an essay about NYU?

Or you can ask yourself if you know nothing about NYU, NYC and its offerings, why are you even applying there and wasting your own time?
The question is about how YOU connect with NYU – not mirroring back to the readers the benefits of NYU. What do YOU like about it? Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems at this moment, nothing besides “it’s diverse”.
The best way possible to write these “why essays”, as I have found this admissions season, is to visit. If this isn’t possible, and you’re too far away from NYU, you should try to delve more into the website, into the NYU page on college confidential, or potentially talk to current undergrads. IMO, schools are trying to sense how you vibe with the school in these essays- do you fit their ethos?
