<p>I'm applying as an engineering student to cornell, but if I change my mind and want to do something else, in general, how tough is it to switch to a different major?</p>
<p>in engineering? i don't think you affiliate until sophmore year anyway. plenty of time to fish around. changing to a different college is a whole different game. my friend is doing that (from engineering to hotel). she dropped a crucial math sequence last semester so engineering said because she's not making progress, they are asking her to have a leave of absence. so basically, she is screwed if hotel doesn't accept her.</p>
