Hi, I'm currently a sophomore Computer Systems Engineer at RPI and I was always planning to get a Comp Sys/Electrical dual degree, but I'm considering going co-terminal or going for my masters after but I'm not 100% sure and class signups are coming up soon, so I was just wondering if it was useful at all to have a dual major if I chose to get my Masters degree. I'm not sure if I prefer either one but I'm definitely getting a Comp Sys degree because I already went through many of the required classes that are specific to it. So for the future, would it be useful at all if I got a dual degree + a masters or should I only go for one or the other? Thanks!

No. You are specializing if you get a Master’s, so why would they care if you had two undergraduate degrees?

Hey you were helping me before I even got to RPI lol thanks a whole lot btw, I do love it here =]

Um but yeah, if I wanted to work with a company like GE, would they probably prefer a Comp Sys Master’s Degree or a Electrical/Comp Sys Bachelors? I’m not really sure…but okay I’ll try going on a one way path with it, I might try getting my master’s in a different major if possible too
