How was AP Biology?

I thought the MC was reasonable, but the FRQs were hard.
My Guess: 65 right on MC, 14 blank
1: 3
2: 8
3: 6
4: 3

4 skip.. educated guesses on 14 ?s on MC

FRQ was rather hard though. :(

1 = knew really well. 9 or 10

2 = uhh 3 haha

3 = didn't get to finish.. probably 5

4 = luckily, I reviewed this part right before the exam.. 9 or 10

Did anyone else feel that we had way too much time for MC and too little time for free response? I finished MC with about 30 minutes remaining, but I didn't get to finish the FRQs.

I felt that the test was actually pretty okay. I am expecting a 5. [=
The only thing that bothered me was that the frq's were so stupid and frustrating. The multiple choice was actually really good.

I'm thinking that I should have left more blank... I kinda went back and guessed on a lot of them especially the matching. I'm hoping for 50% on my essays haha.

Ok as I read through the 1st two pages, I havent quite made it to the last page... I would just say the MC wasn't extremely hard.. The FRQ's wern't extremely hard. People were unprepared because they asked stuff that was like covered in 1 random paragraph in the AP Bio textbook. I just feel that it did not cover a lot of stuff. I am not going to specific on what, but I just feel they tested on what was not the core things you need to know for biology. I mean in all seriousness.. that was the reason the test annoyed me. I read everywhere they try to cover the GRAND scheme of large topics to test to see if you know it. That was definately not the case here.

UGH, I'm a bit nervous about this.... I felt the MC was rather hard-- some questions just completely threw me off.
FRQ was slightly better but i feel like I definitely BSed some stuff... and with the grading, you never know if you're going to get a definite point for all the vague things you say.
Hoping hoping hoping for a 5, but may end up with a 4... ahhhhhh. D:

No Discussions? :(

Stop being tightasses about not discussing the answers.

Perfidious pedantic peons.

The test was easier than i expected. Probably because the kaplan practice tests that i took were just plain outrageously hard. In my opinion, I expected it to be harder. However, it was still difficult. I skipped 6 and guessed on 10-15 (I had to choose between 2/3 choices for the ones i guessed). The essay portion.... some part i made stuff up or guessed. But most were okay except for the one about the graph and experiment.

Gosh, don't have to be so mean -__-!!!!!

Haha, discussing the answers? I mean college board isn't going to track you if you call your friend and discuss, but online.. I beg to differ.

Also I don't know if this is complete BS, but when we sign the contract we will not discuss the ap exam blah blah, isn't that void because we wern't over 18 when we took the test( speaking I am underage), and our parent/ guardian was not there to sign it with us? I am not sure if I am making that up, but having a minor sign a contract without their parent signing it on behalf of their child makes it void.. I might be wrong tho.

mc were pretty hard compared to 1-4 yrs ago thats for sure...and harder than the practice tests in my pr and cliffs book...frq was not really hard..i dont want to say easy but it was okay...better than 2007 frqs...goddd..im praying for a 5 and a lower curve....why did the mcs have to be soo frkin hard this year??

1-50 on the mc's were pretty easy imo
i really can't see how they didnt cover so much..
i am really... in shock..

I believe that the CC Community had reached a final decision =

The AP Biology Test was very hard relative to previous exams, both in the multiple choice and the free response questions. Therefore, if the CC Community thinks the test was hard, not so good, okay, or whatever term you may use, that means the curve has to be generous. I mean, we are CCer's, right?

Will the college board spies track my IP address if I discuss the answers? and then access their secret database with all computer IP addresses showing the owner...and then have the cops come get me? Definitely contemplating teh sprintz0rz to mexico.....

can ne one tell me if I answered 86/100 and got about 12 wrong on the Msc and on the essays 1) 9 ; 2) 5 ; 3) 7 ; 4) 9

what could be my probable score...is it newhere close to 4 or 5???

btw....essay #2 WAS hard and the Mcs were not too bad, just analytical!

At my school a fire alarm went off with 12 minutes remaining on the test--the were in the middle of the essay portion. Everyone had to evacuate and I don't know what the final decision was, but there was talk that they would haev to retake the exam because they had the opportunity to go outside for 20 minutes and talk...yikes

How come people who took the SAT subject test for Biology from May discussed answers and we aren't?

this is from the princeton review book.

(raw score for section I) = (# you get right) -(n# wrong times .25)

then multiply that raw score by .75 to get composite score

(composite for Free Response) = (points on all 4 essays) X (1.5)

add the composite score of section 1 and 2 together.

for a 5 = composite score 82-135
4= composite score 63-81

that's pretty good because that means if you skip 10 questions, get 20 wrong, and only get 29 on the FRQ and still manage a 5.

now this test was HARD. the FRQ were managable and you can BS it through. it's just not very specific, but okay. however, the MC were HARD. it wther weren't many questions that required actual fact knowledge (ex: transcription, meiosis stages, and all that) it was about fricking blood pressure and the stupid applying knowledge to facts questions. I hope we get a higher curve.
