How well prepared am I for AP Chemistry

I plan on taking AP Chemistry next year (Sophomore year). I'm wondering how well prepared I am going to be so that I can do really well in the class (get all A's and a 5). I'm in a math class this year called Secondary math 2 honors (Basically Algebra 2 and a little Pre-Calculus) as well as Honors Biology. I am also planning on taking a regular Chemistry class during the summer. Is there anything else I should do/be doing now so that I can be extremely prepared to do really well? Thanks in advance

If you’re interested in Chemistry, you can always start going through an AP-level textbook or review book.

Bump…

Really old post, hmm? Well, here goes.

Make sure before you start AP Chemistry that you have basically mastered the art called stoichiometry (although it’s basically dimensional analysis). It’s really important! I’d also try to memorize all the cations and anions you’ll encouter in the course. A great document for it can be found [here](https://www.tracy.k12.ca.us/sites/jwaggle/Shared%20Documents/Ion_Charts.pdf</a>). As for the math class, it’s fine, but you might struggle a bit at the beginning, but that’s fine too! Really, you should be in at least pre-calculus for AP Chemistry, but as long as you know your algebra pretty well, such as logarithms and the like, you should be set.

Although I’d recommend taking AP Chemistry your junior year, as long as you’d did what I recommended above, you should be set.

Thanks for the incormation
