How well rounded, in high school, were your kids?

S1… 2 years football,1 year wrestling and track (not a star but a hard worker), NHS,Mu Alpha Theta,N. Latin Honor Soc.,NM Commended, voracious reader, all around good student. Dropped h.s. sports after soph. year but devoted himself to weight lifting and running.
Began working at a large gro. store soph year. By senior year he often opened or closed the store by himself on weekends. He worked around 30 hours/week year 'round.
Graduated #6 in his class… but far from an academic nerd. He was part of the popular crowd in h.s… the movers and shakers of his class. All good students, good looking, fun loving… they pursued a good time like water in the desert and got in trouble doing it more than once. They were the epitome of “work hard, play hard”. All went to big state u’s. All graduated/doing well.

S2…always a natural athlete, played every kid sport and was good at all. By h.s. football was king, started on the D-line all four years. Key member of the best team is school history. Football and the crowd that went with it was his personna. Was a group counselor at a mid. sch. summer football camp every year…Didn’t do clubs except ultimate frisbee club that his best friend founded. Liked to hunt, fish, drive 4-wheelers and was/is a History Channel junkie. A smart enough kid who never liked school, he made avg. grades in honors classes. S2 also worked 'year round at the gro. store from soph. year onward but not as many hours as S1. S2 was well liked… had a large group of friends (not the NHS members) that he was out with constantly when not at football or working. Like S1, he wasn’t a stranger to mischief. Graduated in upper third of his class. All his h.s. friends either went to CC, big state u or big directional state u. S2 is a senior at big directional state u… not majoring in communications. His roommate is though:)
