This semester, it's quite likely that I'll have 1-2 Bs. I took 3 AP courses (Physics C M/EM, Chemistry, and Macro/Micro), and got As in all of them. I definitely have a B (maybe even a B-) in one of my non-AP classes, and it's quite likely that I'll have a B+ in another non-AP class.

I also got 1 B sophomore year, if that's of any relevance.

How would this affect my chances at top universities? I transferred to my current school out of a high school in India this March; would that affect any of this?

It probably won’t affect it that much. There’s really no need to worry. You’ll end up at whatever college you were meant to attend, if you pick colleges you like. Just chill out, and don’t stress about college applications, especially if you’re not even a senior.

Honestly, it depends on the universities. For most universities, it won’t matter at all. The most selective universities don’t like to see many Bs, but you can get away with a few. It also depends on what classes you get the Bs in. For example, it is worse to get a few Bs in math and science if you want to be an engineer than if you want to be an English major. Still, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The way I see it, if a selective school rejects you with the 3 Bs, there is a good chance that you would have still been rejected if you had all As. Enjoy your summer, and don’t stress!
