I know that colleges (specifically Georgia Tech) often check the extracurriculars, courses taken, awards, etc. into account to see if it aligns with the given students major. I am applying for college under the psychology major, but I took AP Psychology online because it got filled up at my school. I also canceled my AP Exam score for it because I tossed my cookies during the exam. How will this reflect on my application? Most of my extracurriculars and awards/volunteering have fallen into the behavioral science/psychology field because it is truly something that interests me. I would hate for that interest to be downplayed because of an exam abnormality or class issues. Any replies would help a lot.
If you are worried about the impact of one AP exam (which you didn’t take), you shouldn’t. Rather, you should focus your energy elsewhere, like the rest of your application.
If you are comfortable with the AP Psych material, then reschedule the exam.
