<p>I think this question might appear stupid but once I finish with my common app, will my high school transcript be sent automatically by my high school counsellor because I put in her email? Or I need to ask her to send the transcript?</p>

<p>You will most likely have to have the school send the transcript. Do not assume that they will send it for you if you have not requested one.</p>
<p>I would talk to your counselor as soon as possible to get it sent.</p>
<p>I applied for New York U. the deadline is 1/1/2011. I have completed my common app for NYU and in the “school form” section, it indicates all transcripts and recommendations have been downloaded by the school on 1/1/2011. however, tday i checked the application status on NYU website, my transcripts havent been received ???</p>

<p>Hey, don’t worry! I applied to 4 Ivies this year. I asked my counsellor to send my transcripts in last week, and they arrived this week. The admission portals said “received”, so it’s okay.</p>
<p>Almost all schools will notify applicants late-January to mid-February of any missing materials. They will give you a chance to get those missing pieces in, even if it’s past the Jan 1 deadline.</p>
