I had given this info on an earlier thread related to my chances for Georgetown. However, I think it will be better if I make this information a part of this question.

My international school in India used a very erratic grading system, which was:

95% - 100 % - A*
90 % - 94% - A+
85% - 89% - A
80% - 84% - A-
70% - 79% - B

and so on

My 9th Grade grades were:

English - A+ (91%)
English Literature - B (75%)
Mathematics - B (79%)
History - A (86%)
French - A- (84%)
Biology - A* (96%)
Chemistry - A+ (90%)
Physics - A+ (92%)

How would these be converted to a GPA?

n.b. - in every subject besides Mathematics and Physics I was a the top of my class. Overall, I had the best the grades in my class. For many subjects there was an unavailability of qualified teachers - French teacher did not have a college degree, History and English Literature teachers did not have the training to teach those subjects very well.

The grading system was, I believe, unofficially an amalgam of the US, British, and Indian grading systems
