Converting My Percentages to a GPA

Like I've said on a preceding post, I am from Canada.
My grades in the 11th grade are:
Math 11 Honours: 99 or 100% I don't know yet because I haven't received the final mark, but it is between these two
English 11 Honours: 84.8%
Socials: 91%
Accounting 11: 94%
Spanish 11: 94%
Foods 11: 91%
Physics 11: 96 or 97%, don't know yet, but it has to be between these two.
Chemistry 12: 96 or 97% don't know yet, but it has to be between these two.

What is my GPA? Do you calculate it based on taking the average of all my percentages and then assigning a 4.0 based on the fact that it is over 90%. Or do you give one 4.0 or 3.0 or whatever per course and then average it by the amount of classes. I also am very worried as to what happens to my English 11 Honours mark. Converting the percentages of a Canadian school to a American GPA, would they go by the standards of Canada where an A is starting from 86%, 80% in some cases, and even 85% in some cases, or will they go by the american standard that an A is a 90% and give me a 3.0 for the 84.8% in English. Thanks for helping me calculate my GPA guys. Btw I'm curious for my GPA most specifically for HYPS, and some other ivy league schools.

One method: [How do you convert percentage GPA to 4.0 scale](<a href=“Answers - The Most Trusted Place for Answering Life's Questions”>How do you convert percentage GPA to 4.0 scale? - Answers)

I think this helps but i’m not sure…

It really depends. At my school, an A is 93 and above. A B is 85 and above. And they round down. So an 84.8 would be an 84, which would be a C, which would be a 2.0.

Would stanford take my 84.8% in English 11 Honours which is a very high B in my school and give me a C, considering the fact that I’m above 90% in all my other classes? I don’t think they would be that brutal :stuck_out_tongue: I think the best thing to do is maybe just call the admissions office and ask

it really depends on how they convert, as unctarheels said every school is different. Some schools like mine(even though we do grade by letter grade) count anything from a 79.5 to 89.4 as a B and one could get a 59.5 in a class and still pass it with a D grade. So if it depends on the school it probably depends on the college.
