I have heard of people getting need aid results as early as early Feburary in past years and some students having to wait much longer (as late as when RD admissions decisions are made in April in past years)… I am sure at least part of receiving need-based aid depends on how early Howard receives the FAFSA info needed to work on the need-based aid. Good luck on receiving as much need aid as possible and please apply to one of the competitive scholarships (Karsh STEM Scholars Program or Humanities & Social Sciences Scholars Program depending on your major and if you are considering going to graduate school afterwards).
I wish I could apply for those scholarships. These scholarships are reserved for US citizens only and being an international student makes me ineligible. How difficult is it to obtain external scholarships and on-campus jobs for international students at Howard?
Those are very tough questions that I do not have the answers to. The fact that you are an international student means most of my advice is moot (you don’t fill out a FAFSA right, but other forms?). I would start by asking some of your questions to Howard’s resources and possibly reach out to some of Howard’s international student population, especially from your home country if possible. Here is one such resource at Howard that might be helpful to you and please let us know what you find out.

This donation will be such a fantastic blessing for many students. I’m so glad, I went to Howard U!
I emailed the Finaid office regarding need-based aid for internationals. They have successfully processed ISFAA and tax return documents and specifically mentioned in their email that it would be reflected in the Bison web portal within the next 10 days. It has been two weeks already; should I email back to the aid office?
Anyone hear back for early decision as of yet? We’re out of state and nervous. This has been my daughter’s number one school for a few years now.
that’s quite strange, i heard back from HU for EA back in december
