-Howard University 6 year BS/MD-

don’t worry about it guys… it is what it is. Several years from now, any of this won’t even matter anyway.

I’m sorry to those who didn’t get in! :(

For those of you who DID get in, could you share your stats?

how is the racial diversity at howard? i know that it’s a historically black school, but what about this combined program? (i’m in no way being racist, but since i’m asian myself i just want to know if i’ll be the only one lol)
also, when is the deadline to apply?

for the howard bs/md program if you get accepted a freshman do you just hvae to do the pre-requisites for med school or whats the curriculum for that?and if you get accepted after you get to howard do you have to major in biology or chemistry etc or can you major in something else as long as you get the pre requisites?

Bump for people for future references.

I am a junior who will be applying to Howard in the fall. How are the facilities? Diversity? Safety?

Bump for this year’s applicants.

Does anyone in the med program right now have any comments about it? How is the experience in general?

Hey does anyone know the stats for those who got accepted into this program? I am a senior in high school now and considering applying for it. My gpa is a 3.8 (weighted), and I got a 27 ACT score (but retaking it). I have a ton of extracurricular (I will be a certified and working EMT in September and have a lot of veterinary work). Would anyone be able to tell me if I have a chance getting accepted or if I should save my time? (I don’t know what the average gpa/ act score is for those who have applied and got accepted.)

Thanks!

Did you take the MCAT and then applied?

Would HU BS/MD accept students from other races? Is there a quota for students from other races?

bump

@aspiringgirl The students in the HU bsmd program are not all African American. The university is an Hbcu, but that does not mean there are only black students. Likewise with the program and medical school.
