@Diambition
log on to you app, and read your “application status”

Thanks! @JohnGotti ; they just began processing it this week. Fingers crossed!

Hey everyone again, I just looked at my app online and instead of saying processing it doesn’t say anything. The application status doesn’t even show up anymore. Has anyone else had this problem?

I’m in the same position here @Diambition

@Implastick Which college did you apply for?

@Diambition Arts and Sciences, there was an update on mine today that my transcripts were received but
no other changes

@Implastick Same here with the COAS, I was wondering if it was a thing with that particular college or if it was a universal thing. And it won’t let me log in, it’s acting as if Howard’s website is down. Have you tried calling?

I haven’t called, I was thinking since it takes about 2-4 weeks for processing I am trying to be very very patient.
I will try calling at the end of the week. How about you? any progress?
I think the website is def. down. @Diambition

Nada. Checked yesterday and this morning but no changes. I called a couple of times but their lines are always busy; I guess patience is key with this sorta thing. @Implastick

@Diambition @Implastick Make sure you check your email to make sure Howard hasnt sent you a new login, they did that to me…had me very worried.lol

Ok. I am extremely frustrated at this point. I applied by the early action deadline and have not heard back a single thing from howard besides the email they send after receiving your application. I sent an email weeks ago and got a reply that it was forwarded to some one else. still nothing back. I have been trying to call but because i live in california there is a 3 hour time difference and my timing is always off. I am going to call tomorrow. Any other suggestions?

@ovodaja you have a right to be frustrated. As I research Howard, there are consistent reports about the administration being unorganized and unresponsive. See if your school counselor can reach them. I remember earlier in this thread some who used the Common App said they had problems. Did you send an email or call? Whichever way you went, try the other method maybe?
I had a tough time getting information about the Scholars weekend, but otherwise they’ve been okay to deal with. Good luck.

Thanks. I actually called this morning and the woman told me that they send emails every Wednesday and if I don’t hear from them today or next Wednesday I need to call gain. I then told her I applied early and she said they got behind with applications. I also used the common app which did not tell me I needed to send a transcript, so I receives an email today telling me to email or fax it. This may have something to do with the delay aslo, but it can’t be much because I wasn’t contacted about it until today. I have also heard a lot about unfriendly, unhelpful staff and disorganized administration. Hopefully things get better.

@ovodaja Right now with everyone trying to choose their school is not a good time for Howard to be unresponsive!

It really isn’t because some schools deadlines are within the next 2 weeks

*deadlines to enroll

My daughter was accepted, but we’ve had some frustrating experiences already with Howard, and it doesn’t exactly instill confidence. @ovodaja, definitely call and stay on top of things, you don’t want to slip through the administrative cracks in case you are an admitted student. Good luck!

Thanks @EnglishLit and congrats for your daughter getting in. I know Howard has a good reputation, but it also has some bad ones, and I’m not sure if I want to pay 40,000 a year for a mediocre experience. This is definitely making me have second thoughts about Howard :-/

We are having the same thoughts. She was accepted into other schools and they currently have an edge over Howard, although we know that Howard will be a unique learning experience for her. They offered no aid though, so it will literally be nearly 50k to attend, and at this point, we don’t think that education is worth it.

@ovodaja yes we all have until May 1 to choose a college and put down a deposit. But most of us are starting to make our decisions now since we are all getting acceptances, aid and even visits. This is not a great time for Howard to not be responding quickly to potential students. @EnglishLit I was accepted too, a couple of months ago. Even with scholarship, I need to see Howard and get a feel for it. I have never even been there!
