Yes, we live in Maryland, so the mail doesn’t have to go far. Congratulations!
you said the next round would go out by the 22nd
Do u know if you anyone actually got accepted on that date
Also by when should the rest of us hear of our decision
I’m hoping it will be before February
@ThatPeprika I was regular decision and got my result today!
Has anyone created a Howard Class of 2020 FB group?
Lol regulars are getting decisions earlier than EA international applicants
I applied EA and just received my acceptance letter!
Hmm… does that mean that already accepted regulars are now given more priority in scholarship awards than remaining international applicants? If so I do think it’s messed up.
Okay I just got accepted via email a few minutes ago and I’m an international applicant
@pressed4college Wow, they are giving out decisions to RD applicants earlier than EA applicants. Well, congratulations to you anyway! I did end up calling them yesterday and they said that if I don’t have my decision by the end of next week, then call again. Sigh, fingers crossed. And congrats to all of you who have been accepted!
I applied EA and still haven’t received my decision by mail or email
Same here :(( :((
International here! Do we have to send our financial documents by mail?
Hi there, I am an international student from Canada. I was accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences in mid December and have recently been invited to apply to the BS/MD program based on my SAT scores, GPA, and class ranking. Part of the requirements to complete my application include an essay demonstrating my interest in medicine and service to those who may be less fortunate than myself. I was wondering if anyone else is applying, and if so, what is the expected length of this essay?
@joyfuljoy I got invited as well! I’m still debating on whether or not to apply but I would say about 500-600 words, roughly the same as the Common App essay requirement, though if you have more words I don’t think it would matter?just don’t make it too long! No more than 3-4 pages I say! Describing your reason for going into medicine could take a lot of explaining.
@Chopinspiano thanks for the response! I think you should apply btw…you have nothing to lose since you have already gotten into the school
@joyfuljoy Yeah you’re right but I’d also have to be 100% sure I’m attending because you have to pay your acceptance fee so it can get processed. The interviews are after May 1st and that’s a huge what if plus my mind is actually set on other med schools.
Any international EA applicants got their results yet?
My D is not an international applicant. However she did apply EA. She called Howard today and they told her application was still processing. They said they had such a large amount of EA applications that they haven’t been able to go through them all yet. They also said they will be sending out more acceptances each week so she should be hearing something soon.
@ThatPeprika I hope everything works out for you!
Two days after calling them for the second time my application was processed and I got in!
