Howard university class of 2026- Graduating a semester early

Hello, I am a Junior in high school and Howard is my #1 choice for college. I want to major in chemistry on a pre-dental track. I have a 3.8 out of 5 weighted GPA, 1220 SAT, 4 AP classes, and all honors classes. I am rank 139 out of 420, my school Is very competitive and the students in the 10th percent of my class have 4.5 GPAs and up. My extracurricular activities include Alliance française Awards towards excellence program, Chicago pre-college science and engineering program, Health professions recruitment and exposure, Tutor for underclassmen, Student ambassador for incoming freshmen, lead altar server at my church and 2 internships. I have recommendations from my french teacher, AP chemistry teacher, counselor, and Howard alumni. Also, there is a chance that I will graduate high school a semester early. What are the chances of getting in with these stats? I also have a very strong essay

Your GPA is below average (when converted to a 4.0 scale it’s a 3.04) but your SAT is a bit above average. You’re a Junior, so I would recommend retaking the SAT to make sure that it’s at least in the 75th percentile of accepted applicants. Your extra curriculars don’t seem to go along the lines of an identifiable passion, but it really depends on how you list them on your application. I’m not sure how selective Howard is, but if you claim to write good essays and you know you’re going to receive good letters of recc then you stand a decent chance in my opinion. I’m also a Junior applying to Howard, and I hope to see you on campus. Good luck!
