It's on the web. 77% last year. About what you would expect for a school of Cornell's caliber.

In 2004, of the Cornell first-time undergraduate applicants to medical school, seventy-seven percent were successful in gaining admission to a U.S. allopathic (M.D.) school. (Nationally forty-nine percent of applicants were accepted in 2004.) Eighty-six percent of 2004 Cornell applicants with a 3.4 or above gained admission to a U.S. allopathic school.

I thought I read on the site something like 89% with a 3.4+ were accepted. Must have been 2003 or 2005.

Thanks for the info. And what about biochem and psychology? How are those majors?

Actually the 86% figure is a bit misleading because it might cause someone to think that if she has a GPA of 3.4, then her chances are about 86%. Based on the chart (2005), however, only 72% of those with a GPA between 3.4-3.59 were accepted. The percentage was much higher (94%) for applicants with a GPA of 3.6 or above. What's interesting is that about half of the applicants were in this category (GPA 3.6 or above).

I bet you barely any engineers made it in, it was probably mostly CA&S and CALS

yeah, I bet barely any architecture students made it in either munited

Thanks. =)
