How's my schedule?

I haven't looked up any teachers yet, but these are the classes I'm thinking about taking for Fall 08. I will be a freshman heading in as a pre-business major. I'm also considering computer science and statistics, so that makes things a bit complicated.

ASAMST R002B - 4.0 units
MATH 001A or MATH 016A - 4.0/3.0 units
STAT 021 - 4.0 units
UGBA 010 - 3.0 units
COMPSCI 003 - 4.0 units
PHYSICS C010 - 3.0 units
ASTRON C010 - 4.0 units

Of course, I have to narrow the list down to around 17 units.
I'm wondering whether I shoud take MATH 001A or MATH 016A. MATH 001A is a prereq for computer science and statistics, so it gives me more flexibility than MATH 016A. However, I heard that pre-business people should take MATH 016A because it's easier and that MATH 001A is more for engineers. I also don't know which math class I should start off with, since it's advised that you only take one math class a semester. Should I do UGBA010 my first semester along with a math class?

I want to take ASAMST to fulfill my RCb requirement.

I know that I want to take an L&S Discovery Course, and so I'm hoping to get either PHYSICS C010 OR ASTRON C010.

Lastly, if I want to do computer science without any prior programming knowledge, I have to do COMPSCI 003, right? Will that interfere with my business pursuit, since Haas has a lot of requirements and breadths?

Any input or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

haas does have a lot of reqs and such but many people within haas actually double major. if you do want to double major with compsci/stats, you have to plan ahead.

i think you should definitely take an R&C class and math 1a (if you're considering compsci/stats, math 1a will give you more options and it really isn't that hard b/c the engineers usually skip out of it). i don't recommend taking stats at the same time with math. ugba is very competitive so i don't know how good of a course it is to take first semester. if i were you, i'd do R&C, math1a, compsci, and maybe a 3 unit course for breadth.
